Ideal for:

  • Short trips – daily policy term options
  • Longer trips – Six month and annual terms
  • Baja and Mainland Trips
  • Liability only or Full Coverage

3rd Party Liability Only

Liability is the minimum requirement for RV insurance in Mexico. This covers damage to 3rd parties in the event of an accident but does not cover your own RV. Liability is common for lower value vehicles traveling in Mexico but is less common for RV’s unless your US policy offers a coverage extension for damage occurring across the border.

Full Coverage Mexico RV Insurance

These policies offer 3rd party liability and coverage for your RV. Our insurers offer increased limits against low deductibles for attractive coverage plans. The broad scope coverage is ideal for RV trips in Baja and the mainland Mexico. We know your RV is a home and offer great pricing to keep you covered while traveling.

Basic Coverage Includes:

  • Civil Liability Limits from $50,000 up to $500,000
  • Bond and legal assistance (varies by carrier)
  • Travel Assistance
  • Medical Payments (varies by carrier)

Physical Damage (Named Peril Coverage)

Each peril is specifically named with coverage for total theft, collision, rollover, glass breakage, fire, lightning, explosion and natural phenomena. Read your policy to check the full list of natural peril coverage

Extended Coverage Endorsements

The coverage extensions are ideal for RV travelers and it adds a waiver of deductibles for 3rd party fault, increased bond and legal assistance, coverage for partial theft and vandalism, increased labor rates for repairs done in US and modified GAP coverage. Going for extended coverage is especially prudent on higher value RV’s.

Towed Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels and Popup Campers

Towed units are covered under your primary auto policy. When you fill out our quote form, add the towed units in the designated space and enter the value. Coverage for your non-motorized camper is an extension of the auto policy because they are towed and not driven.

RV’s towing a car that will ultimately be driven in Mexico will need separate policies for each vehicle. Keep this in mind when planning your configuration and setup before crossing the border. You will need a separate temporary import permit for each vehicle as well when traveling outside of Baja and the free border zone.
